I had first heard of this wine several years ago, and the name motivated me to seek it out. Unfortunately, with me being in Philadelphia, I discovered that is was a special order, and for the most part, I wasn't going to fork over that dough.

Sometime later, I would come across the wine in a restaurant and try it. While I must say that I enjoyed the first runs of it versus the latter runs, I still give it a nice thumbs up for a casual wine, suitable for drinking at any time of the day, especially in the mornings.

Since this winery also make a Rose and a Red Blend, I would expect for these other wines to be on or above par with this one.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
