Re-reviewing a wine; it could

Thursday, March 19, 2009

I just reviewed a Beringer 2004 Napa Valley Sbragia - Limited Release Chardonnay yesterday, and I was not happy with it. However, I also let two people I know taste it as well, one a chef, the other a sommelier, and they both agreed that it was a bad bottle. George, the sommelier stated that the bottle had suffered from heat exchange and had cooked in the bottle.

So today, I went back to the place and exchanged it for another bottle. Let"s hope that this one is fresh.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
