Back on the grind

Friday, May 1, 2009

Actually, I haven"t been really away at all, but I have been trying to get my motivation back for several things. I"ve probably had a good 50 wines since the last time that I put in a diary entry.

However, in this time, I also made some more connections in the wine industry (I can"t wait to taste all of these new wines coming in from the country of Georgia), got to taste more from the portolio of Tennazi and Terranova wines (reviews to come soon), and also found some Sagrantino di Montefalco Passito that I will be picking up next week.

What"s new will be some wine tastings, and in the next couple of months, some wines in from the country of Uruguay. I also hope to get there this year, as well as Chile and
Brazil.

Additionally, some of you out there have been writing me thanking me for some of the reviews as well as turning me on to some other wines as well, and I thank you for that.

That"s it, as always, good drinking!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
