No Barolo for me

Sunday, November 4, 2012

So, I had just gotten dressed and stopped by the gas station to pick up something... and when I got back in my car, it would start.  Well, let me clarify things, it would start but would then die.  And you know, I was ready to go to a limited space tasting of seven different Barolo wines, something that I have started to find an affinity for this very year.  The good thing was that I was just around the corner from my house and I managed to throttle through and after seven or eight restarts get back home.  Wound up cleaning the throttle body which is the start of the problem, and will rectify the remainder in a few days.

One step away from wine heaven, and this happens.  Such is life.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
