If you haven't realized it by now, I tend to go to Canal's in Pennsauken a lot when I go for new wines, and as they have basically reorganized their wine section, I saw this interesting bottle staring at me from one of the end caps [of the shelves].

What made me purchase it was that it talked about the flavor hints of pear and quince, Pears are a favorite of my mom's and I remember her telling the story of putting a raw Quince in her mouth.

The wine itself has some nice tropical flavors, but it's the quince piece that gives it an interesting acidity. This being a Spanish wine, it goes best with freshly caught seafood, or seafood dishes like paella,

I only gave this wine an 8 because I have no other Viuras to compare it too.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
