If you haven't realized it by now, I tend to go to
Canal's in Pennsauken a lot when I go for new wines, and as
they have basically reorganized their wine section, I saw
this interesting bottle staring at me from one of the end
caps [of the shelves].
What made me purchase it was that it talked about the
flavor hints of pear and quince, Pears are a favorite of my
mom's and I remember her telling the story of putting a raw
Quince in her mouth.
The wine itself has some nice tropical flavors, but it's
the quince piece that gives it an interesting acidity. This
being a Spanish wine, it goes best with freshly caught
seafood, or seafood dishes like paella,
I only gave this wine an 8 because I have no other Viuras
to compare it too.
