I think that Chardonnay is the perfect wine for people to start getting into wine, but unfortunately many people don't realize that there are many ways to 'brew' a chardonnay, even the chablis style. I for one hate buttery tasting and feeling versions, and have not always favored every style of oaked and unoaked.

However, this wine totally charmed me and I had to give it a rating of 9; I'll reserve 10 for when they come out with something a little more classic -- I mean, I know that they have something else in their bag of tricks that they'll release down the line, that is if they already have and I don't know about it.

It's actually hard for me to write this review, as I drank most of the bottle last night, but I can tell you that the flavors consisted of a wonderful level of citrus, apple, lychee fruit and pear.

This wine can probably pair well with about anything, especially red meats if you are a white wine aficianado. This is another wine that will make you interested in trying everything else that the producer puts out.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
