I really wanted a Rex Hill Pinot Gris from Oregon, but I chose to cop a bottle of this Sauvignon Blanc, and I must say that it went well with some spicy Chinese food that I ordered.

The taste of this wine is filled with basic lemon and lime citrus flavors with maybe a hint of freshly cut grass with a sharply rising acidity that drop offs fast and elegantly. The supple finish shows you both the nice, smooth texture of the wine, but also replaces that original citric hit with a milder variation of pineapple and possibly a little dash of apricot without giving in to those two flavors.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
