Pinot Gris/Grigio is mostly like water, but every now and then, you find one with some moxie. The first thing in trying out this wine was noticing the color, which is a very nice and clean light straw yellow. In taking it in, the second thing is the nice, delectable, sweet nectar flavor that makes you think that you're a bumblebee that, though it's proven physically impossible for you to fly, have found a way to meet and greet the flowers everyday, enjoying their lovely juices.

I first came across Kim Crawford with their wonderfully crisp Sauvignon Blanc, but they have definitely 'put their finger' in this Pinot Gris release, which is definitely within the best two that I have ever had.

They jacked up the alcohol percentage in this to a heady 13.5%, and that alone puts it into another category away from other lesser Pinot Gris/Grigios.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
