I've got a bunch of reds that I am hesitant on drinking,
and thus I opened my last non-special white today (I'll get
some more wine at the end of the week). And I kept my mind
open, not expecting anything.
This wine is your typical California Chardonnay,
featuring a little mellow and rounded butteryness as well as
the traditional Oak flavoring, but it also has some smoky
hints that you tend not to really find [in a good way] in
wines in this price point. I would say that if you
concentrate, you can taste a little pineapple along with
some light citrus acidity, and that this wine then smoothly
transitions over to a smoke infused ambrosia.
