As you might already have garnered, I [and many other people that I know in the wine industry] consider Pinot Grigio to be like water, pretty much light and flavorless. This, of course, is not to say that there aren't some wonderful ones out there, as I have discovered.

This wine reminds me a little bit of a Verdejo in the smallest bit of tart citrus (lemon) that I get on the tongue as soon as I take a sip. It actually reminds me of water with lemon on it, but automatically also feel a silk on your tongue that is unique to wine. This wine is perfect for a picnic, or with anything from fresh fruit, salads or grilled chicken at a cookout. It also goes great with a nice book while sitting outside, whether in the middle, or the end of the day.

You'll notice that I rarely write reviews about 1.5L bottles, but this actually wasn't something bad, and the price is decent for all budgets.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
