Now this wine woke up my taste buds with the instant flavors of dark red fruits. You immediately get a dose of raspberries and blackberries, with a subtle amount of tannins. Finished in French Oak, Eric says that it has a little bit of vanilla as well in it.

I would put this typically with food with great, rich sauces and maybe even some spicy pie and/or chocolate cake. The tannins do impart a little bit of dryness to it, but it’s very much a nice medium-bodied release.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
