Yesterday, I was at Chaddsford Winery, and today I picked up a bottle of their Spring Wines. It's 49% Vignoles, 31% Vidal Blanc and 20% Seyval Blanc, and it's one of my favorites.

I really don't know how to describe the flavor of this other than crisp. It reminds me of a combination of lemon, lime and I would have to say honey (I am not a honey fan, but the sweetness is decadent). The sweetness also reminds me of nectarine.

This is definitely a wine to relax with, and nothing else. If you want to combine it with a dessert or some fresh fruits, especially melons, then do the damned thing! It's perfect for all of that and is making me wish I either had some watermelon or some Honeydew melon; I do have some grapes in the fridge which I'll have to whip out in a few minutes.

And this is definitely a wine for romantic interludes, if not romancing a nice lady. While it's not sparkling, you could still fill a glass with it and some raspberries and/or strawberries!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
