Okay, I don't like buttery chardonnay, but I do like pepper, and this has sublime hints of vanilla as well. I would consider this a very quality Chardonnay, even though it's not my style of Chardonnay. This wine is perfect for somewhat spicy poultry or seafood, or nice with raw bar/sushi. It would also be great with certain cheeses and fruits.
