On a search for something new, and inexpensive, I came across this wine. And of course being different, I am having it with a well-flavored steak.

Well, the first thing that you get from the wine is a nice amount of both lemon and straw smells; one could even say lemongrass. The taste is very demure, but filled with both grassy and floral components. It's not sweet, nor too dry, but a very comfortable middle of the road that can lend itself to pairing with a variety of foodstuffs. The citrus is more lemon/lime, with a nice mellow transition into a more neutral, but just a little, level of acidity. I would even say that there is a little gooseberry in it, or the flavor that you get from an Granny Smith apple right before it ripens.

All said, this wine would be perfect with lemon chicken, or any spicy seafood dish. Scallops anyone?

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
