So, yesterday, I had to buy me some Mega Millions tickets
in NJ (it was up to $162M yesterday, and no one hit it), and
while over in Jersey, I picked up another bottle of the
Vision Viogner by Cono Sur, talked with my favorite worker
there -- Canal's Liquors on Route 38--, met another wine rep
and also picked up this Chardonnay, which had a nice tag,
and was less than $6.
Now, I know what you're thinking, a $6 bottle of wine
can't be good, but you don't remember the 2003 Calina
Reserve Chardonnay that I raved about. This wine is
phenomenal. It is the truth!
The bouquet is wonderful, and the flavors immense. You
smell bright flowers and lemon, reminding you of your
momma's good spring cleaning. The taste is exotic,
tropical, mesmerizing. It has pineapple, papaya, lemon,
lime, and maybe even a little bit of blackberry to it.
My perfect Xmas present would be a case of this wine.
