Ice wine is not a favorite of mine, though some have
definitely won me over. I's a special technique to make it,
waiting for the grapes to freeze on the vine, but it can
yield some spectacular results. In this case, this wine has
a high sugar content, a thick body, and an ambrosial mixture
of apricot and peaches in a brew that screams 'give her a
dessert with this and you'll win her over.' For women, it
might scream 'a little bit of chocolate.'
As far as ice wines go, the price is great for the
introductory level. While I have had several others, this
is a nice German offering from the country that invented ice
wines.
