Lord knows that I hate a dry Cab that isn't medium to full bodied, and on a body scale of one to five, this comes in at around at a two at best. I chose to let this wine air out overnight, because when I first tried it, it was not to my liking. Even after thirty minutes, it was not to my tastes, but I know that some wines need longer decanting times.

So, this morning, I tried it, and noted that the tannins, though heavy, had smoothed out somewhat. I could also get a better nose and taste of the fruit, which is dark plums.

If you like dry wines, then this might be for you. However, if you like fruitier libations, steer away from this one.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
