Malbec is an interesting grape, one that I tend not to like wines made from, because many of them have a rough, unfinished taste and feel to them. However, as this was one that was shipped to me for review, I cracked it open and proceeded to taste it.

Well, I was floored! This wine contains both deep plum jam flavors, as well as the taste of cocoa powder in it, which disguises the tannins the right way. I swear that your tongue can feel the grains of cocoa powder in the wine, but those are the tannins.

Overall, it's a great wine, especially for the price.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
