I love some Viogniers, mainly New World versions, but it seems that many of them, regardless of style, are just badly done. I even looked around to what other people said about this wine before I chimed in myself.

While this wine has both peach and white pepper flavors, and the smell of orange blossoms, the taste is unrefined and too 'hot;' is essentially tastes hot, which is not something that you want in a wine. Being that it's a white wine, I don't think that bottle aging will have any positive impacts on this one at all.

I am hesitant on trying other wines by this producer, but I still might just to make sure that they're just having a problem with this grape, as many other people also seem to be.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
