I love some Viogniers, mainly New World versions, but it
seems that many of them, regardless of style, are just badly
done. I even looked around to what other people said about
this wine before I chimed in myself.
While this wine has both peach and white pepper flavors,
and the smell of orange blossoms, the taste is unrefined and
too 'hot;' is essentially tastes hot, which is not something
that you want in a wine. Being that it's a white wine, I
don't think that bottle aging will have any positive impacts
on this one at all.
I am hesitant on trying other wines by this producer, but
I still might just to make sure that they're just having a
problem with this grape, as many other people also seem to be.
