I have a ton of red wines right now and really don't want to go into them, but I received several wines to review from a local importer.

The color is just as intense as their spec sheet said, so deep purple that it's almost bordering on black. It starts off with a full mouth and then settles down into a nice level of spice and raspberry (I always wondered why there is a 'p' in raspberry). In the end, you get the slightest hint of cocoa which makes this wine great. Not too complex, but very full.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
