This is one of the times where I hate my old webhost (setupsite) because this is one company/producer whose wines I wrote some nice reviews over.

This wine is very dry and has a lovely color that I would call more of a cross between a scarlet and a deep purple. The taste is a quenching combination of old leather with an undercurrent of black currant. It's actually interesting because this would probably go great with roasted game meats or cured meats.

This is not my favorite wine by Donnafugata, as I have had the others in Italy and can tell you that they're quite smashing.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
