Another wine that I previewed at the 2007 Philadelphia Wine Festival, this is a great cab to try out. Actually, I am quite surprised when I looked at the price for this wine (around $175), so this is definitely something that you purchase when you can afford it, meaning that you need to be making some serious loot.

But that's a great thing about wine festivals, you get to taste stuff that you basically wouldn't even think about purchasing and trying out any other time.Unfortunately for Diamond Creek, their founder Al Brounstein died this year from complications of Parkinson's Disease, but he was a man that thought ahead and saw potential in the land that he bought in 1967.

I would say that these wines are worth a try, and I look forward to what else they have to offer. If you can, I'd try to actually visit there and take a tour; sampling has definitely got to be cheaper that way.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
