So, the same wine, but another year, and this one tastes
a little different to me, or could it also be that my taste
has become more refined since I had the 2008 vintage.
Lately, I have come to understand the beauty of Meyer
lemons, with their unique mixture of citrus and a unique
buttery-ness.
This is not your classic New World Sauvignon Blanc, as
while it has the citrus/acidity aspect, it is neither over
the top or overbearing. Immediately after experiencing the
citrus, the flavor profile drops into something more
interesting, which will remind most of you of Key lime pie.
The color is straw yellow, the weight is middle of the
road, and the finish lasts no more than fifteen seconds.
Not a bad wine, and something to try to break you out of
the monotony.
