The first time that I had this wine, I didn't have a chance to write a review as I drank the bottle down so quickly. This wine comes on softly, but then it turns around and gives you the taste of leather and something akin to coriander or nutmeg. There is some dark fruits, but they are not too strong. This wine fits somewhere between a classic Old World Style and a classic South American New World Style.
The grapes are grown over 1300 feet above sea level and the wine is aged in French Oak for 18 months before it is blended. Then, it's held for another year.
