You know, I am not a big fan of most of the Pinot Grigio wines that are brought over to America because many of them pale in quality to what you can get over in Italy.  However, while on a wine run, I figured that I would try one from a producer that I hadn't tried before and in doing, picked up this bottle.

Upon first opening this wine, I definitely was not a fan, but decided to wait a few days and see how I would feel later.  Well, upon the second tasting of this, I could definitely get the fullness of pears and peaches, but it still had just a little too much acidity in it; in fact, this comes across a little like a Meyers lemon.

I would think that this wine would be a lot brighter if you taste it in Italy, but it depends on both the conditions of the transportation and storage.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
