I believe that I have either driven through, or briefly visited, Corvallis when I was in Oregon in 1997; it is a beautiful state.  And it sometimes seems weird to know that you were a hop, skip and a jump, from great wine growing regions, and great producers.  The latter in this case isn't true.

This wine sucks for being a Pinot Gris.  It taste like a Pinot Blanc and I want to assume that it is mislabeled.  It is chock full of minerality and I will admit that it is wrapped in a buttery texture.  However, it tastes way bad.  Now to be fair, I will most likely call this company and see about getting another bottle, being that this one could be due to bad storage.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
