After a long day of working, I chose to have a glass of wine, and this time I opened up a bottle of this Sauvignon Blanc that I picked up Sunday.

The first thing that you get from this is a nice bouquet of citrus and berries; gooseberries that is.  Question: why are they named that?  The taste itself is a combination of lime and some various fruit flavors.  I actually get a little bit of green apple. I think it's great when you take in a little, close your mouth, and let it sit on your tongue for a good fifteen seconds.  It leaves you with a little bit of zest on your tongue.

The heft is light on your tongue and this is a fresh and crisp young wine.  And for those that are looking for the eco side of things, it is a carbon neutral product.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
