I, of course, picked this up because of the
name and the label, and this wine definitely lived up to my
expectations. Made up of Monstrell (50%), Cabernet
Sauvignon (30%) and Shiraz (20%), this wine is definitely
great.
From the Jumilla region of Spain, this is a
nice red that I recommend to anyone that is interested in
not only red wine, but something different from the
everyday cabs and pinot noirs.
In their words: Blackberries, ripe
raspberry and hints of white pepper on the nose with round,
soft tannins and juicy plum, berry and cherry flavors on
the palate. The finish is long and lingering with
persistent ripe red fruit.
In any case, I can't wait until their next
year's release.
