Okay, I had a rough day and was actually out doing some work on my car, which is not what I like to do.  But in the end, when thinking about what to drink to decompress from the day, I chose this wine.  I don't know if I had it before, though I have been blessed to sample a number of their wines twice in events in Philadelphia, and twice in New York at Winebow's Annual Vintner's Harvest (big shouts out to Joe Brandolo and Faith Proetto, and of course Leonardo, the man behind Winebow).

Cava can be a wonderful wine, and this one is vintage.  For those that can understand, I get aspects of chalk and other minerality with this wine as well as some muted apple; just the slightest amount of Granny Smith but mostly Golden Delicious.  The bubbles are tiny, which shows the quality and this bubbly should be shared with the people that you care about, if not just coveted and hoarded by you when you need to just let all of the troubles of the world drain away.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
