I overcooked my New York Strip but the wine I chose to have it with is off the chain; okay, it's rather nice.  This is one of the cases on the back where what's on the [back] label is very accurate to what's in the bottle.  This wine delivers pepper and jam, blackberry and black cherry jam at that.  It is composed of 41% Zinfandel, 25% Syrah, 24% Carignane and 10% Petit Sirah.

I recently had a Zinfandel from this company and was not impressed, but this wine is nice.  Dark purple in color, middle of the road in weight, and a nice juicy finish make this one a keeper.

And I must say that the cherry really comes through heavy.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
