Still in shock by the fact that I can't get anymore of a wonderful Zinfandel blend, I chose to try this Cabernet Sauvignon.  The label was very sparse but the alcohol volume lured me in.  This is a wine that ultimately hits you, and it has a little grainyness in the taste.  I mostly get dark red fruits with a slight backbone of cocoa and a nice strong finish that carries on for thirty seconds -- this means that that alcohol has a nice burn that stays on your throat almost akin to scotch. At this point, neither color nor aroma factor into anything because this is a boss wine that deserves a great piece of meat!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
