This is the second time that I have had this wine; the first time I split it with someone while taking them out for dinner to celebrate their birthday. It is the classic Bordeaux blend except for the inclusion of Merlot, but this wine is a meritage to behold. I get tobacco, leather, chocolate and an underlying backbone of black fruit (plum and currant). This is a wine that you enjoy with a loved one or sit back and listen to Erykah Badu's 'I Want You' and enjoy the pain of heartache.
You don't want to know about the nose on this wine, because the aroma can get you drunk right then and there. The color is the classic dark purple and the weight/texture is classic red. The finish is quick, but I could be saying that because I am on my third of fourth glass. I chose to have this with a porterhouse steak and some sauted asparagus.
If you love someone, or even have some great lust for them, and they can appreciate a great red wine, then purchase this one.
