Every now and then, you are blessed to come across a lovely wine that makes you very happy, and this one makes me smile.  First off, it tops off at a wonderful fifteen percent alcohol content which is the first wonderful thing about this.  The wine itself is full of black cherries, a little tobacco and a slight hint of cocoa.  The finish exceeds thirty seconds and it's almost like the flavor swills around your esophagus when you take it down; this is of course due to the alcohol potency.  The color is a wonderful dark purple and the waterline is so tight that it is ridiculous.  This has a limited production so if I were you, I'd pick up as much as possible.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
