As you may know, I am on a kick for classic Bordeaux blend wines, which means wines that have Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot.  This wine caught my eye and has 50% Cab Sauv, 35% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot and 6% Mlabec.  Deep in color (dark purple), great in power [but not revealing it] and very approachable to most drinkers, this wine scores.  Fruit is dark plums and berries, but not overpowering.  Nose is wonderful, but don't inhale it for too long.

This is a quality wine.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
