I love to try wines that are less than ten dollars to see what they have to offer. In doing that, you come across some good ones, as well as plenty terrible ones, but there are some that are pretty much middle of the road. This is one that's in the middle.

While the bottle says that this wine contains delicate overtones of bananas and pineapples, I couldn't taste it. That doesn't mean that it wasn't there; I was coming off of a cold, so my sense of taste was already hampered anyway.

While I have had some more phenomenal chardonnays from Chile that ran around $7, for $5, this will definitely accomodate some extra unexpected guests. It's relaxed and simple, and sometimes, that's all you need.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
