Gruner is a grape that I have only grown to love after having a good one at a very small and intimate wine show, and it's one that I rarely purchase.  However, this one being from Big House wines, I decided to try it as they have never let me down.  With this wine, you get minerality and peach with a nice hit to the nose from the alcohol content.  The finish lasts in excess of a minute -- the alcohol -- and the color is a very light yellow-green.  Yes, not to be confused with a green-yellow (please consult the old Crayola 64 or 128 pack and you'll know what I am talking about).

This wine is great.  I might just have to have a Big House wines party one day.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
