Another Amador County Zinfandel from Terra d'Oro, I thought that this one would be as wonderful as the one from their Home Vineyard.  While this wine is very juicy with more fruit forward flavor of black cherries, it lacks the impact -- alcoholic power -- of the other one.  The finish lasts about twenty seconds, but it just doesn't bring it home enough for me.  This wine, however, might be perfect for a lot of other people.

The color is a very deep purple and the nose is very strong as well.  The weight is lighter than I would like, but middle of the road.  At best, I also taste just the teeniest amount of blackberries in this.

This might sneak up on me in the end, but at the present, I choose the Home Vineyard Zinfandel over this one.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
