I have yet to really find a Zinfandel from Cline Cellars that I really like, and even when stepping up on the price, I still am not really satisfied.  This time around, I chose this bottle hoping for something different, but alas that did not happen.

While rich in color and strong in power, this wine's flavors gravitate wholly around dark plums when I really was looking for bursting dark cherries.  On the backend, it warms your throat during the finish, but it's not what I am looking for.  If you want a zin that is powerful but more demure and delicate in it's taste, then this is for you.  If you require something more full-bodied and all up in your mouth, try something different.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
