My last bottle of zinfandel before I go up and purchase more, I chose to open this bottle and fill up a glass, letting it sit for some twenty minutes before taking a sip.  Well, the bottle was at least two feet away from me sitting on my nightstand when it's great aroma started permeating the room.

While not filled with the flavors of dark cherries, this wine exudes more dark plums and tobacco, but in this instance I love it, unlike the last Zinfandel I reviewed.  This wine is just a little heavy with no over the top alcohol percentage which would normally raise the temperature in the back of your throat.  The taste is well rounded and this wine would go elegantly with chocolate cake, or a cigar if you like them.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
