Well, that's exactly what this wine tastes like and it will probably change with two more years of aging.

As soon as you pour this wine into your glass, your nose is assaulted with the pungent power of the alcohol content of this wine; that along with a hint of something berry-ish.  When you drink this wine, you get tart cherries and then you get the undercurrent of tobacco as it rides down your throat.  If you can't discern the taste from the amount of alcohol in this wine, then you won't understand this one at all.  However, I think it's a great wine, but that it shouldn't have been released just yet.  As I said, it could stand for another year in the bottle before opening.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
