The ability to strike up a conversation no matter where you
are can have many positive effects in your life. In this
case, it was on a Friday in which I was to meet someone to
hang out at Ombra in the Borgata casino in Atlantic City.
Ombra, as well as Specchio, are owned by Luke Palladino and
he has a wonderful wine list there.
Where I was trying different wine flights, another couple
came in and a conversation was started. They had been
coming there for some time, and had brought their own
bottle of wine with them. As we talked about wine, they
offered me a taste of what they had, and needless to say, I
was hooked.Somehow, this was told to me that it was an
Oregon wine, but it appears to now be from California (note
to all: Oregon is coming up in the wine world).
Anyway, this is definitely a delicious wine, filled with
many deep and complex tastes. However, be careful in how
it is stored, because that can have some disastrous effects.
