Well, it's hard to move back to other styles of wine after coming back from Italy, but I decided to pick up a Cabernet made by Trentadue, as I like their Zinfandel of the same name/level.

This wine is deep in color, with an elegantly regal shade of purple.  The nose is slight in aromas, showcasing more of the alcohol than anything else.  The taste is very vegetal with taste of green peppers and a little dark plums.  The finish lasts a good twenty seconds.

All in all, this is not a bad wine, just not one that will go down in greatness for me.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
