Zinfandel is a lovely grape, and I have seen/tasted so many different expressions of it.  For me, it's not great until you start flirting with around 15% alcohol, as you can churn out something that will make someone sit down and think about life.  I chose to pick this one up just to make six bottles and get the discount at Total Wines.

This wine is just too damned tart.  I can taste some dark fruit, like black cherries, and I also get some spice, but this is for the baby drinker because it does not have any serious depth or complexity.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
