Okay, so I am still waiting for the next vintage of the Home Vineyard to come out, and this is what they are pushing at this very time.  This wine makes me think of a deeply smoked bacon with a little leather right behind it in the taste profile.  Dark, spicy on the palate and with a finish in excess of thirty seconds, this is a different zin.  I am having steak tonight but might pair it with some Andouille sausage just to see if my thinking is correct on this one.  Not bad, but not my favorite.  This feels like something like Syrah is mixed in with it.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
