I got bottle nomber 07519.  Okay, this is what I found out about this wine: It is sourced from eight different properties and seventy percent of it is barrel aged for eighteen months while the other thirty percent is held in stainless steel for the final five months.

You definitely get dark berry from this, and it's nice.  You also get a touch of leather and a powerful nose on it.  I get some spice which I can't identitfy but I am thinking Cardamom.  Color is dark purple with brown twinges and a very tight waterline.

This is neither a novice level zinfandel nor one that I would consider for the best expert drinkers of this grape, but it does get ratings of 90 from me.  It slowly creeps up on you which is welcome and it doesn't overpower your palate.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
