So far, I have had several wines from Sterling and I can say that I have been quite pleased with the bang ofr the buck.  In this case, I really wanted the Meritage, but it wasn't available.

This is one of those inexpensive wines that is very fruity, supplying you with a bevy of dark fruits like sugar plums and a little bit of spice and even some wood on the backend.  The finish is decent, lasting easily for half a minute of more   The color is a lovely dark purple and this wine is one of those which can be used to get people from drinking the excessively cloying sweet wines to starting to understand and love the beauty of reds.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
