Sobon Estate is one of those wineries that I only see their product in Total Wine, and occasionally, I will take a chance on them.  This one totally shocked me with a serious concentration of dark cherries with a little undercurrent of cocoa and possibly vanilla.  I had to look at the back label and have to admit that there is some blackberries to this as well.

The color is a nice deep purple and while the alcohol says 14.1%, I suspect it is 15.1%

This wine is a winner!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
