Malbec, like a Pinotage, is an
interesting wine that for the most part, I feel that people
make too strong. This is to say that for all of the ones
that I have had so far, I have not been a fan at all. Then
along comes this Malbec...
When you pour this wine, the first
thing that you notice is the deep, rich purple hue. This
in itself is such a beautiful thing to behold. When you
smell it, there seems to be a combination of blueberries
with something else; the distributor said plums and
strawberries comprise the aroma and the flavors.
And when you taste it, you get the
smoothest Malbec that you have ever had, or that I have had
so far... thus, I dubbed it the money shot. The taste in
itself is unique, but best if you don't taint it by eating
anything fruity beforehand.
