This wine had me when it said that it was Gruner (40%), Chardonnay (35%) and Pinot Blanc (25%).  I like Gruner wines and try to experiment with them when I come across them, but it also having Pinot Blanc, which in itself can go right or left, slaked my interest.

The wine itself has a nice floral nose and a taste that has just a little bit of spice on it.  Light in alcohol (11.5%), this wine would be perfect with spicy food from Central America, South America or Asia.  I could see this easily with some jambalaya as well.  I don't know how much of it that they made, but pick up a case!

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
