At less than $10 a bottle, this wine is a great bargain. Upon raising the glass to your nose, you immediately are hit with lemon and grass (they say lemongrass, which is the combination of the two). Unlike most sauvignon blancs that I've tasted, this wine has interesting nuances of both guava and passion fruit, though you have to take ample time to calm yourself and distinguish these flavors [not guling down the wine like it's a mixed drink].

I believe that I paid somewhere around $8 for this wine, which makes it a darling one to add to your summer collection.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
